Why do some students, especially those “young children”, pass the exams while some others find it difficult to pass despite reading everything back to back?
Apart from issues with proper understanding of principles underlying each topic and subject matter, which is a consequence of:
- Lack of focus and concentration
- Uncontrollable thoughts
Lack of concentration is also a major reason why you may be finding it difficult to passing the ICAN Exams. Hardly can you tame your mind to focus on what you are doing at that point in time. It is either you are feeling sleepy or that’s the time you will remember some little stuff you should have done earlier on.
When it’s the time you remember your outstanding responsibility as a husband, wife, father, mother, friend or a family member. Responsibility as the head and protector of the house, responsibility as the home keeper. All these in addition to the situation of the country – economically or politically.
You might contest my above research as inaccurate. Maybe you are right or wrong. Apart from the fact that I am an FCA, I still do take time off from office and home to reflect, think and study. Additionally, let’s go back in memory lane. When you were in the higher institution, what were your thoughts other than to eat, read, sleep and engage in social activities, career goals, health goals and financial security for your future family.
However, you have an always increasing responsibility which you cannot escape from. Now the question is how can you control your mind from receiving thoughts that are not relevant as at the time you are studying? How do you concentrate on your studies and get the insight and a holistic understanding of the topic?
