Which of these habits do you allow to stand in your way of success?…

Timothy Here Again,

You are subject to the law of habits. You did not make life and its laws. You only find yourself involved in them so you can understand and obey them.
You, in the nature of things, are a being of habit and this (nature of things) you cannot alter. Yes, you cannot alter the law of nature but you can adapt to nature.
Habit is repetition which can be at your advantage or disadvantage. You repeat the same thoughts, same experience, same action over and over again until they are incorporated into your being. Until they are built into your character.
So, if a habit is repetitive actions, then you should focus more on the habit that will aid your success in any life’s endeavour.
Although, there are different types of habit. For you as an ACA-in-waiting, we will be focusing more on study habits.
Since habit is part of your life, the question is what type of study habit have you adopted that is either aiding you or preventing you from qualifying?
-Do you make a habit of preparing a study time table whenever you want to write an exam?
-Do you make it a habit of studying daily?
-Have you made it a habit of studying only when it’s 2weeks to your exams?
-have you made it a habit to be studying and checking social media like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc at the same time?
-Have you made it a habit of cramming instead of understanding concepts?
-have you made it a habit of reading selected topics in the syllabus?
-have you made it a habit to always embrace change?
-Have you made it a habit to always finish the syllabus?
-because you want to justify your belief that you will read for several hours, have you developed the habit of “reading for reading sake”, whereas nothing sticks to your memory again after 30minutes into studies.
-Have you developed the habit of writing off-context?
-Have you developed the habit of not following the Examiner’s simple instructions?
-Have you made it a habit of not reading the Examiner s instructions thoroughly? Instead, you assume because you seen something similar in the past question whereas, just a verb could change the entire requirement of the questions.
-have you developed the habit of going to the exam hall late?
-have you developed the habit of procrastinating in your studies?
-have you developed the habit of postponing writing your exams at the sight of any constraint?
-have you developed the habit of waiting for the perfect condition?
-do you have these…………..habits that made you give up on ICAN Exams?
So, if your study habit is standing in your way, then you need to change it and by evaluating your actions and uncontrolled thoughts.
Please…Please…Please…
Use this weekend to reflect on those habits that are standing in your way of success. Make the necessary adjustment immediately, because the wind of time and tide are still blowing in your favour.
