Last week Sunday, I called the PM lecturer to ask few a questions regarding why students actually failed the course. This is because a student called to express her dissatisfaction over her failure in the exams.
The lecturer said that based on his research and experience, it is as if students don’t understand the question.
Most of the questions set by the Examiner have some requirements you need to have a thorough understanding of before proceeding.
According to the Examiner Report, the number one question of the PM May 2019 Diet Exam revealed that students did not do well because of their inability to compute the relevant variance, as well as linking market size and market share variance to sales volume variance.
Simply put, students don’t have an in-depth and practical knowledge of variance and Advanced Variance.
As a result, they will not be able to attempt and get full marks for case study question testing their knowledge.
This is not only peculiar with PM but to all the courses. As you know repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes the architect of accomplishment. That is, there is the need to understand each principle underlying and application of each topic per course.
Unfortunately the pack is so bulky that you don’t know where to start from and it is not also easy to tell the tutor to repeat a particular topic again and again until you understand. I am not against physical classes or the ICAN pack. I am just being real and sincere.
