5 Tips that will help You Prepare and Pass Your Exams

With less than 24hours to the exams, there key notes that you need to take cognisance of. Although they might look very simple and unimportant but failure to simply adhere to them will simply mess up your entire exams. Trust me you don’t want to be there.

I could still remember a junior colleague who was writing his ICAN. Sincerely, he gave it all my best by starting early and he also went through what it takes to pass the exams. I could verify this because I was his mentor. In that diet, he had only Financial Accounting to write and had prepared hard to pass then move to the next level. Unfortunately, he failed not because he doesn’t understand all the underlying principle in FA, but because of a tensed situation which was triggered when he mistakenly took another document for exam docket.

In other to learn from others and not let others learn from you because letting others learn from your mistakes can be painful, irrecoverable time wasting and money wasting, we will be looking at 5  tips that will help you prepare for your exams. They include:

 

  1. Prepare Things the Night Before: Preparing certain things the night before an exam can help distress and slow down your morning to allow yourself to wake up and get ready with ease and peace of mind. Things to prepare the night before should be, first and foremost, the document (exam docket) required in the exam hall, 3 different Pen and have them ready to go with your calculator then put them all into a folder.
  2. Wake Up Your Mind and Body: It’s very important that in the morning you’re focusing on waking up both your mind and body so that you’re wholeheartedly ready to take on the exam. A great way to do this is to put on music while you’re in the shower and getting ready. If you have a playlist of your favorite songs, chances are the music will get your body energized
  3. Eat a Smart Breakfast: Even if you’re not a breakfast person, eating breakfast is essential before an exam. Your breakfast should include necessary vitamins as well as keep you energized and full.
  4. Warm Up Your Brain: While you’re eating breakfast and getting ready during the morning, try to read something small and short. An article or part of a book is a good choice. This gets your brain in the mood of reading and processing information that it gained visually. Reading lightly before an exam is the same effect as stretching before working out.
  5. Early Arrival: Nothing is more stressful to the invigilator and yourself than arriving late. Allow time for traffic and unexpected delays so that you can arrive at the exam location with time to spare. This allows you to get comfortable with your surroundings and calm down before you embark on the exam.

Following the above steps can help you achieve your exam goals which is passing at a sitting.
